The aim of the Nautical Science program and the Diploma –
Class ‘C’ Marine Engineer is the proper training of Deck and
Engine Officers accordingly, in order for them to acquire key
positions on merchant marine ships. The training provided is
in accordance with the standards of the United Nations
International Maritime Organization (IMO) and it is in full
compliance with the provisions set out by the International
Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and
Watch-keeping for Seafarers (STCW).

Μου αρέσει η φιλική ατμόσφαιρα εδώ και το γεγονός ότι οι καθηγητές είναι πολύ κοντά στους φοιτητές. Είμαστε πολύ ευχαριστημένοι με τις σπουδές μας. Μερικοί από τους λέκτορες είναι πραγματικά ευγενικοί και ο τρόπος διδασκαλίας τους είναι εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρον. Επίσης, μας παρέχουν πολλά κίνητρα. Είμαστε ενθουσιασμένοι από τις τάξεις. Οι βαθμοί μου έχουν αυξηθεί πολύ. Βοηθά το γεγονός ότι οι τάξεις είναι μικρές σε αριθμό, οπότε ο εκπαιδευτής έχει περισσότερο χρόνο να επικεντρωθεί σε κάθε μαθητή ξεχωριστά.

Student Life
There is no shortage of restaurants and cafeterias situated across our campus and in the surrounding urban area. Engomi is a vibrant neighbourhood in Nicosia, in which our campus is located. It is home to more than 40 restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and bars, all within walking distance, where you can enjoy a meal, grab a quick coffee, take in some live music or sports events, or just wind down and relax with some friends. Popular chains like McDonald’s, KFC, Bennigan’s,and coffee shop favourites like Starbucks, Caffè Nero and many more are in close vicinity to our campus and usually packed with students coming together between classes. Our newly constructed UFIT Fitness Centre is all about keeping you fit and healthy with its brand new, state-of-the-art equipment, innovative classes and experienced instructors. A full range of other indoor and outdoor sports facilities are available in the broader neighbourhood.
Our official student residences redefine modern student living. They consist of three separate complexes – SIX, U and TRIANGLE – which are among the most stunning student accommodations ever constructed in Europe. The Residences provide a multitude of dining, relaxing and entertainment options for residents, including 6 restaurants and cafes, an exclusive rooftop bar and lounge, gyms, TV rooms, games areas and more. Located in the upscale neighbourhood of Makedonitissa, in Nicosia, the residences are surrounded by UNIC’s vibrant, urban campus that, in addition to 20 university buildings, is home to more than 70 restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and bars, all within walking distance.
