IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – Beginning of the Fall 2021 Semester
Dear Cadets,
On the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year 2021-2022, we would like to welcome you to the Cyprus Maritime Academy (CyMA) and assure you that we have made every effort to provide you with a safe environment with an ongoing emphasis on quality education. Your safety and well-being remains our highest priority.
How the Cyprus Maritime Academy will operate during the Fall 2021 Semester
Taking into account the relevant instructions and announcements of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education as well as the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA) of the Republic of Cyprus, we would like to inform you that CyMA’s Fall 2021 Semester will start on 27/09/2021 with the physical presence of cadets and the application of Safe Pass.
All laboratory courses as well as several theoretical courses of the academic programs of CyMA will be delivered with the physical presence of cadets. However, certain theoretical courses will be delivered online through the Academy’s e-learning platform. Information regarding the specific mode of delivery for each theoretical course will be provided by the coordinators of each academic/professional program.
Educational Seminars and InterPro Orientation Day
In the beginning of the Fall 2021 Semester, new cadets will be offered a series of training seminars, regarding the utilization of the e-learning platform as well as all other online educational tools of CyMA. New cadets will also have a chance to participate in a dedicated orientation/induction day (InterPro) to be held on 24/09/2021. This day aims to assist new cadets achieve a smooth transition to life at the Academy. New cadets have already been informed of the necessary details regarding the specific event.
Operations of the Administrative and Academic Departments of the Academy
Currently, the Administrative and Academic departments of CyMA are operating normally, both in person and online. In order to avoid overcrowding and for the proper observance of the relevant health protocols, we kindly ask the cadets of the Academy to carry out their various transactions with the specific departments of the Academy, either online or through prior arranged appointments.

It is this cooperation that enabled all of us to effectively manage the pandemic and the current crisis without adversely affecting the level of academic quality in the education provided and without any major changes to the Academy’s academic calendar and the expected learning outcomes of our academic programs.
