On Tuesday the 23rd of July,  Mr. Patsalides Kyriacos, Associate Director of Cyprus Maritime Academy visited the oil tanker “Mount Everest” of Intership Navigation Company at Vassiliko port in Limassol. This visit lays within the framework of collaboration between the Cyprus Maritime Academy and renown shipping companies based in Cyprus. The purpose of this visit was to gain valuable information regarding the operation of the specific type of vessel as well as the process being followed during the on-loading and off-loading of hydrocarbons at Vassiliko terminal. An extensive tour was held along the vessel’s sections, including the Bridge of the ship where all navigation systems are at place, the engine room along with the generators and the pumping system as well as the deck of the ship. An important part of the tour was the briefing on the work responsibilities of the Cadet officers (deck and engine) during their practical training on board.
