4-Year Programme in Business Administration!

The Business Administration programme enables students to gain a broad education in business administration and obtain the necessary skills required to become successful managers.

The Bachelor’s Degree may be earned after four years of study.

General Objectives

  • Provide a sound basis of theoretical knowledge and of practical applications which would support the effective performance, through further work experience, of appropriate professional duties in the industry and the services sectors.
  • Cultivate an inquisitive mind, a scientific methodological approach to problem handling and presentation of research results.
  • Expose the students to other non-professionally oriented courses and to widen their horizons and their appreciation of cultural and social issues.

Learning Outcomes

More specifically, students are expected to develop the following competencies and skills outcomes:

  • To comprehend the social, economic, political, ethical, international and technological environment within which firms operate and compete.
  • To deal with change in a dynamic business environment, recognizing the contribution of human resources and of the management systems constituent elements of organizational development.
  • To collect, analyze and interpret data using methods and techniques derived from mathematics, statistics and information technology; to present results in a coherent system of proposals and implementation plans.
  • To develop personal skills in the areas of:
    1. Communication of ideas and argumentation
    2. Application of creativity
    3. Team work and cross cultural cooperation
    4. Usage of quantitative tools for decision making
  • To cope effectively with the relevant tasks encountered in business administration and its special concentration of management.

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements

The general admission requirements is for applicants to have a High School Leaving Certificate (i.e. 12 years of education or 11 depending on the country of origin, e.g. Russia) OR equivalent qualifications. Some programmes may have additional requirements in which case they are specified separately under the relevant programme details.

Regular admission to academic programmes requires a recognized High School Leaving Certificate with a grade of 7.5 out of 10 or 15 out of 20 or a rank in the top 50% or equivalent qualifications. This status may be contingent upon demonstrating proficiency in English with a valid TOEFL score of 500 and above, or Computer –based TOEFL score of 173 and above, or Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) score of 61 and above, or GCSE (or GCE) English Language “O” Level of “C” or above, or IELTS of 6.0 and above or Cambridge Exams (First Certificate with Grade B and above, as well as Proficiency with Grade ‘C’ and above), or the College English Placement Test. Advanced standing will be admitted on the basis of additional qualification (e.g. GCE “A” Level).
