Aiming towards the best professional experience of our cadets, the Cyprus Maritime Academy has signed agreements with BSM Training Center for the use of their state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
More specifically, on the 29th February 2016, the Cyprus Maritime Academy and Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), signed an agreement which gives CyMA full access to BSM’s state of the art Maritime Training Centre, located at the marina of Limassol. The Training Center has recently added to its finest equipment a Full Mission Bridge and an Engine Room simulator, a state-of-the-art technology is the only one of its kind in Cyprus. These additions will further enhance the Maritime Academy programs. The bridge simulator consists of two separate 180 degree visualization bridges fully equipped with various controls and systems, including ECDIS, RADAR/ARPA, VHF, bow and stern thrusters, simulated anchoring and mooring, use of tugs for berthing assistance, GMDSS radio communication, signaling equipment such as lights and shapes, steering gear and engine control.
This top-of-the-range equipment allows users to select vessels from the library of 40 different ship types, operating in 25 sea and port areas. The Bridge Simulator also connects with the newly installed Engine Room Simulator enabling Cadets to train in ship’s maneuvering and machinery operations on individual stations.
Additionally, FURUNO Cyprus, a global leader in Marine Electrics domain, has donated the following equipment to the Academy and set up a Training Center for Navigation & Communication Equipment:

Tototheo Maritime has also donated technological and electronical equipment which has also been installed in the premises of the Academy in Larnaca.
